We encourage the following types of subjects and posts:

  • Instances of evidence and facts to share that help one political side understand the other.
  • Examples of misunderstandings appearing in other discussion forums such as Reddit and Facebook, requesting and offering suggestions for how those interactions could be improved.
  • Discussion of the Reusable Responses, including suggestions for new ones.

The following are not allowed:

  • Untruths or claimed “facts” that are unsupported by reputable sources. (Note: statements of fact made in news reporting in such outlets as the NY Times, Fox News, CNN, the National Review, etc. are examples of reputable news sources; however nothing labelled as “opinion” on any of those sources is acceptable as evidence.
  • Advocacy for one side in a debate. We encourage the presentation of facts with the purpose of helping someone understand who wants to learn what the other side is thinking. However, that is different from trying to convince someone who doesn’t want to hear what you have to say. There are an infinite number of other Internet venues for trying to convince someone that you’re right and they’re wrong.
